When I was 15 I fell in love with the 1956 Ford pickup. Eventhough I did'nt have my drivers license (not that I thought I needed one) I knew that was the car for me. So that summer before I turned 16 I worked my but off (at least that's how I remembered it) and saved and bought my first car which was a 56' Ford pickup truck. It was all original with a small back window, spare mounted on the driver side fender, straight 6 with a 3spd on the column (tree) and a pull out Over Drive. Many first experiences took place in that truck and I wish I had it today. I ended up selling it in 98' to someone in San Jose, I wish I still had it. Oh well, now I have a 55' Chevy Big Window but it's not the same.
This beauty is the closest I could find to my color "Spring Mist Green".
I'm a old school thinking/acting/living relatively young guy (43) who can't resist anything with an engine. I grew up when right and wrong still meant something in the 70's and terms like political correctness and hyper-sensitivity had'nt been coined yet. After all these years I'm still happy scouring through the Auto Trader (or Craig's List) looking for that "one" screaming deal of a car, boat, plane, etc. that I just can't pass up.
